Mining Development (Advisor)
David Malouf, a 1978 graduate of HaileyburySchool of Mines brings his lifetime of hands-on experience in Canadian mining to the Company as it continues its exploration programs in the Geraldton-Beardmore (Ontario) Gold Camp, Quebec and the Dominican Republic. David will be particularly focused on advancing the Company's business development programs and, ultimately, the development of its properties into income generating mines.
After graduation in 1978 David went to work as a stope miner at the Henderson Mine in Chibougamau, Quebec to learn to drill and blast. The following year, he went on his own and generated income from a lease on a Quebec property.
In 1980 he took over as a General Manager of Norbeau Mine's underground exploration project at a time when only 1/4 of the project had been accomplished and 3/4 of the budget had been expended. David put his innovation to work, and produced 2,000 ounces of gold by doing a cleanup of the old mine; which allowed the completion of the program and enabled the operation to remain open for a further two years until it was sold to Northgate Exploration in a multi-$million transaction.
In 1993, David was appointed President of RoxmarkMines Limited in the Geraldton-Beardmore Gold Camp after he successfully assembled many of the past producers under the umbrella of that company. He served in this capacity until 2006 when he accepted the position of Vice-Chairman Business Development and Corporate Affairs. In this role, David negotiated a Joint Venture between Roxmarkand Premier Gold Mines, which is now developing a multi-million ounce resource -a major development for the region.
Since 2007, David has been actively assembling properties in the Tashota Gold belt through Plum Tree Gold Corp. and he controls two advanced properties of merit in Chibougamau, Quebec.
